Dear Friends.

I am absolutely amazed at the amount of encouragement I receive on a weekly basis from my dearest friends. I have some of the BEST people in the world in my life, and I am SO blessed. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for those that support the life I am choosing to lead.

I have this dear friend Jade, who has grown tremendously since we became friends in 2006. She is married, and has 3 beautiful children. Her husband is in the Navy, and she is a very strong military wife. They recently moved to California to live near base, and she struggles so much with being away from her family and hometown. With many prayers and long conversations Jade has become a very close friend of mine. Her heart is to know the truth, and she is a great source of encouragement in my life. She supports me 100%, as long as I'm doing what God is calling me to. When I waiver, she is not afraid to set me straight. When I fail, she knows how to break my heart just enough to see my flaw and turn to God to fix it. She inspires me to be a better person, and I am so lucky to have a friend like her in my life.

I just ended a phone call with my dear friend Max, let me just tell you a little bit about this awesome person. He is a dear, dear brother in Christ. His heart is to be a nurse, and it is completely evident in his work ethic. I've known Max since I was 16, and he was 14. My first year of college he made me promise that we would keep in touch, and we really have. You see, he lives in Minnesota, and I in Missouri. We may see each other twice a year, on a good year. All of the time I've spent with Max face to face probably adds up to about 3 weeks. He was my fake husband in high school too. Tonight I had a pretty intense conversation about the direction my life is headed. At first, he seemed to think I was giving up on school and the life I have chosen to live until now. Then, he heart my heart and his tone completely changed. By the end of the phone call I was in tears, happy tears. His encouraging words spoke truth with grace. I am blessed to have supportive people like Max backing me up on this new journey.

I recently have spent many evenings with my friend Sarah as well. She has always been in my life, but she was always so much older than I didn't really see her as someone I could call a friend. I always looked up to her, and it's probably because she's pretty much a rockstar, but it's true. She really is quite amazing. Each week I go to her house to write music with her, and each week I see pieces of where her heart truly lies. She encourages me so much to do what God is calling me to, and I am so blessed to be a part of her life more and more each week.

These are only a few examples of the friends I have. If I took the time to list all of the supportive and encouraging people that hold a place in my heart you would quit reading. So here's to the God that brought all of these people into my life. Because of Him I am blessed beyond what I deserve.
