Christmas

It's already December. It's already December 7th. Holy Smokes! This year has flown by.

It's nearly Christmas and I'm having a hard time getting in the Christmas spirit. Most years I can barely stand waiting until the day after Thanksgiving to listen to Christmas music. This year I have been so caught up in the moment that Christmas still seems forever away.

No worries:
I purchased all the gifts that I will be giving well before Thanksgiving.
I have already enjoyed driving around the wealthiest of neighborhoods to stare at the lights.
Our tree has been up for awhile.
I have already enjoyed the specialty coffees and hot chocolates at nearly all the local shops.
I have heard and enjoyed two advent specific sermons.
I tried to listen to Christmas Radio, but was annoyed the instant "Little Drummer Boy" was played.

It still doesn't feel like Christmas is coming.
I'm not in a scrooge mood; I promise.

Someone help.
How do you get in the Christmas spirit? What do you enjoy this time of year?

Christmas is so much more fun for me now that I have kids...throwing yourself into making Christmas special for someone else takes it to another level. I know you don't have little ones yet, but trying to communicate Christmas to others, bringing others joy - thats along the lines of what I think Christ wants from us at Christmas! I'm so thankful for the HOPE brought through His coming.

Oh yeah, and get your bake on! ;-P
