Two day Getaway :)

After a rather stressful and chaotic weekend at home I decided I needed to get away from home.
I love two day getaways & I have the ability to travel often so I take advantage of that opportunity.

So this week, it's Grace University & one of my bests Skyler. (She is Awesome.)
Grace is a tiny university in Omaha near the Old Market area, and it's real quaint.

Here, I don't have to pretend to be a student. I can just wander through Old Market and do whatever I please and look totally normal (Unlike MU where I feel like I MUST carry a backpack everywhere).

Day One in Omaha:
I started the day driving from KC with my free Starbucks! What a great start to the trip! (It was free because I'm a gold member, and yes it's THAT awesome rewards program for addicts. You can check it out here.)

I arrived around noon. We decided to grab lunch at Twisted Fork in Old Market. It's probably one of the most adorable restaurants I've ever been to.
Then we went shopping for Christmas gifts and I really needed a pair of dark jeans. We then came back to chill at her dorm and attend a hall dinner. (Side-note: Hall Dinners for everyone else just don't compare to Woody 2nd at SBU, ever.)
Then we went to Old Market again to enjoy Ted & Wally's ice cream. That is some GOOD ice cream, and it doesn't make me sick which is a HUGE plus since dairy often makes my esophagus freak out.
Skyler, her roommate and I decided to walk the Pedestrian Bridge, which was a beautiful walk because it was a beautiful evening.

Yes, we took a silly state line picture mid-bridge. We are that cheesy. (It's dark, I know.)

We then proceeded back to head back to the dorm to watch Jane Eyre, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite classic stories ever. (Advice: NEVER WATCH the deleted scenes from the most recent Jane Eyre movie, they are super creepy.)

Day Two:
We decided to sleep in a bit. (BEST CHOICE EVER.)
Then we went to Village Inn. I'd never been there, and Skyler insisted that I experience true breakfast. Let me tell you, I will never eat at Ihop EVER again. I promise.
Now we're painting nails and I'm considering making Skyler go to Aroma's later.

We'll see where we end up...
I promise it will include coffee sometime today & probably more walking considering we ate V.I.B.'s from Village Inn.
