Be you.

Sometimes being yourself is difficult. Sometimes it's because of the people you surround yourself with.

& then there are the special few that literally make you a better person just by being near.

Discovering this about myself is difficult. I know that it's easier for me to be more honest and genuine around people that already know my battle wounds. I know I struggle with what I want out of life and what I expect out of the people around me. I know I struggle with where Christ is leading me, and what that looks like more than anything. 

I'm discovering all the things I love:

First, I love the people around me.
    I am so blessed by them in every possible way.

Second, I love to travel.
    I love that I have the freedom to leave town often. I love that I am happy in the smallest of towns. I love local restaurants and culture. I am so thankful for my job, family, and friends because they make it possible for me to do what I love on a very regular basis.

Third, I love to sing..
    I love that I have the ability to focus on music and that my family and my job support me and make it possible. I love that I have the brilliant friends that help out because I often lack experience and vocabulary. I love that I have friends that enjoy my voice and give me opportunities to sing.

These are simple desires that I have carried my whole life. I love being young enough to enjoy them old, and I hope that I continue to pursue them. I truly believe I am where Christ wants me in life. I'm uncomfortable enough for Him to work in my life. Christ is leading me, and I truly believe that.

It's nice to be happy. It's nice to know I'm where I'm supposed to be.
